Details of Explosion at Gas Station on Yerevan-Meghri Road
Today, on June 29, an emergency incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 19:40, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia received a call that there had been an explosion at a gas station located in the administrative territory of Marmarashen village on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, and there are casualties.
According to Shamshyan.com, it was revealed that under yet unclear circumstances, an explosion occurred while charging three underground gas cylinders with liquefied gas, resulting in a collapse. As a result, an employee of the gas station suffered serious injuries. The emergency medical team that arrived promptly provided first aid at the scene and then transported the injured individual to the “National Burn Center” in Yerevan.
The police and investigative department are clarifying the identities of the victim and the owner of the gas station. While the investigative group was working at the scene under the leadership of Arthur Babayan, the deputy head of the Masis investigative department, and senior investigators Artak Badalyan and Roman Smoyan, a notification was received from the hospital by the Masis police department that the injured person had died in the intensive care unit without regaining consciousness.
Investigators determined that the deceased was 32-year-old Andranik M., a resident of the city of Masis.
