Brazilian President Complains About Meals Served During Lunches With French and Italian Leaders

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has expressed dissatisfaction with the dishes offered to him during his lunches with the leaders of France and Italy during recent visits, TASS reports.

“I had lunch with (French President Emmanuel) Macron and (Italian President Sergio) Mattarella. Two meals in palaces. They weren’t that great,” Lula da Silva said in an interview posted on his YouTube channel.

The Brazilian president’s complaint centered around the portion sizes, which he found to be “very small and limited.”

“Honestly, I can’t get used to it; I need quantity. Maybe that’s gluttony on my part, but I like quantity,” the Brazilian leader remarked.

He noted that the food served at official receptions generally does not match his taste. He confessed that while traveling, he misses traditional Brazilian dishes such as rabada and galinhada.
