Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Responds to Pashinyan's Twitter Post
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ayhan Haji-zadeh has commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Twitter post.
Earlier, Pashinyan had written: “We call on the international community to take effective steps to ensure the rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. As long as the Lachin corridor remains illegally blocked, there were 4 casualties caused by an Azerbaijani drone attack last night. The risk of destabilization in the South Caucasus is high.”
Haji-zadeh stated that Pashinyan once again allegedly “misleads” the international community by claiming that Armenia is intervening in Azerbaijan’s internal affairs: “Instead, it would be better for Armenia to fulfill its obligations and respect Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity both in word and in deed,” he said.
Earlier today, Pashinyan made a post on Twitter calling on the international community to take practical steps to ensure the rights and security of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh: “As long as the Lachin corridor is illegally blocked, last night, due to an Azerbaijani attack using a drone, 4 people were killed,” Pashinyan wrote.
It is noteworthy that on June 28 at 01:30, Azerbaijani military units fired artillery at the Armenian positions in Martuni and Martakert, using drones as well. The Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that the Armenian side has 4 casualties.
