VIDEO: "There is a theory that the October 27, 1999 event is linked to the negotiation process" - Pashinyan
The investigative committee examining the circumstances of the 44-day war continues its session, which was interrupted on June 20. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is responding to questions from parliament members during a live broadcast.
While addressing a question about factors that influenced the negotiation process, Pashinyan stated: "You know that there is a theory, the foundations of which have been made public, that the events of October 27, 1999, are related to the negotiation process, particularly regarding the concept of land exchange."
"This is a hypothesis that, in fact, has not yet been proven or substantiated in a criminal-law sense. But it cannot be ruled out that it may also become a subject of investigation," Pashinyan added.
