Video: No losses for our army during the clashes, says Pashinyan about the July battles
The investigative commission examining the circumstances of the 44-day war continues its session that was interrupted on June 20. Prime Minister Pashinyan continues to answer questions from MPs.
The session's chair, Andranik Kocharyan, noted that during discussions about the July 2020 battles, the former head of the General Staff and the former Minister of Foreign Affairs provided certain assessments. “The Chief of the General Staff, Onik Gasparyan, spoke about the July incidents, stating that we were taking positions in our territory. Zohrap Mnatsakanyan mentioned that the feeling was such that the course of negotiations changed after those events. How do you assess those events?” Kocharyan asked.
Pashinyan responded, “In a way, that was also a test of the credibility of the assurances issued by the army. I mean, there was a clash, and something quite unusual happened there in a good sense. Our army did not suffer any losses in combat conditions. In other words, there were no losses during the actual battle.”
