On October 5, if I'm not mistaken, I was in Stepanakert and at the command post of the Armed Forces. At that time, the breach of the 9th defensive sector had already occurred. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting of the parliamentary commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war.

There is widespread speculation that Pashinyan said that Serzh Sargsyan lost Lele Tepe and that we need to go take it back; this topic has absolutely never existed, and it has no relation to reality. What was important for me was the opinion of the Chief of the General Staff. Due to objective and subjective circumstances, I trusted nearly unconditionally the people holding the position of Chief of the General Staff. The fact that they wear the rank of general of the Republic of Armenia is a huge advance in terms of the presumption of trust for me.

This has been a long-standing factor until that trust was completely undermined, and the undermining is related to specific incidents. From there, I established contact with Onik Gasparyan, who said that there was logic in it and believed that the commander of the Armed Forces should form a plan and assess its feasibility.
