‘I Hold Myself Guilty in Everything’: Pashinyan

‘I hold myself guilty in everything.’ This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session with the parliamentary commission investigating the circumstances of the war. According to him, however, he has one issue.

‘When I take a pen and paper and start writing my accusatory conclusion, I formulate it, I formulate it, and somewhere I hit a dead end,’ he noted.

In this matter, Nikol Pashinyan also expects help from the opposition. ‘You come and tell me in the National Assembly that you gave up Kovsakan, then you say that you didn’t stop the war. Later, I open and see that it’s not Kovsakan, but Zangelan. Dear colleagues, your problem is that in one sentence you accuse me of surrendering Kovsakan, and in the next sentence, you accuse me of not surrendering Zangelan. This is not a political way of doing things. I recognize and feel guilty, but when I sit down to write my accusatory conclusion, I find myself confronted with a dead end, standing in front of Zangelan,’ the Prime Minister addressed the opposition.
