Brawl in Yerevan: Director of 'Armenian-Russian Friendship House' Detained

The Investigation Committee of Armenia has received materials from the Central Division of the Police of the Republic of Armenia regarding an incident in Yerevan. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

According to the source, on June 22 at approximately 4:30 AM, a 59-year-old resident of Yerevan, Hrachya Grigoryan, called the operational management center of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs to report that he had been attacked and beaten by a group of 10 individuals near address 24 Vardanants Street.

Before the operatives led by the head of the Central Division, Ervand Nikoyan, arrived at the scene, another emergency call was received from a 36-year-old Yerevan resident, Harut Harutyunyan.

He reported that Hrachya Grigoryan had struck him in the yard of 24 Vardanants Street. An operational group from the Central Division of the Police, headed by the head of the Mashariki division, Marlen Hakobyan, also arrived at the specified address, where Harut Harutyunyan informed the police that during a dispute over domestic issues, Hrachya Grigoryan had uttered insults towards him and struck him on various parts of his body, causing him physical pain.
