Video: Russian Su-27s 'Hunted' British Fighters in the Skies Over the Black Sea

In the skies over the Black Sea, two Russian Su-27 fighters detected a Russian state border-approaching RC-135 reconnaissance aircraft, along with two Typhoon multi-role fighters, according to a report by РИА Новости citing the National Defense Management Center.

“On June 26, 2023, Russian measures for monitoring the airspace over the waters of the Black Sea detected three aerial targets approaching the state border of the Russian Federation,” the publication states.

Combat duty forces of the air defense troops were raised. They identified aerial targets involving three aircraft from the British Royal Air Force.

“When the Russian fighters approached, the foreign military aircraft made a turn away from the state border of the Russian Federation,” the agency emphasized.
