A loud explosion occurred at the headquarters of the Southern Military District in Rostov-on-Don, Russia, with gunfire reported, according to RT.

RT shared videos on its Telegram channel showing people running away. At least two explosions were heard, prompting the crowd to flee, reports an RT correspondent.

“Something has been ‘hit’ in the area of the Southern Military District headquarters,” local news outlets report. Following this, Wagner fighters began to drive away the city residents gathered there,” according to 161.RU.

It's worth noting that the Wagner military group has established control in Rostov-on-Don. During a discussion at the Rostov military headquarters with Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yevkurov and Deputy Chief of Staff Alexeyev, Prigozhin demanded actions from Shoigu and Gerasimov, threatening to move towards Moscow otherwise.
