Training Flights by Russian Base Personnel in Armenian Skies

In Armenia, the crews of Mi-8MTV-5 transport helicopters and Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopters from the Southern Military District of Russia, along with pilots of the MiG-29 multirole fighters from the operational-tactical aviation of the Russian Ministry of Defense, conducted training flights. This information was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District.

The MiG-29 pilots practiced airborne camouflage techniques of army aviation while flying through mountain gorges, as well as performed complex and advanced aerobatic maneuvers.

"The servicemen of the Southern Military District were relocated to the backup airfield of the formation. Flights were conducted in various configurations to train the coordination of crew actions during task performance," the statement said.

It was noted that over 180 servicemen from flight and engineering-technical personnel participated in the training flights, utilizing around 40 units of military and special equipment, including Mi-8MTV-5 and Ka-52 helicopters and MiG-29 aircraft from operational-tactical aviation.
