PHOTOS: How Azerbaijani Armored Vehicles Have Blocked the Only Road Between Artsakh and Armenia in Recent Days

Artsakh has been under Azerbaijani blockade for 191 days, during which the movement of people and humanitarian supplies has been severely restricted, organized exclusively by the Red Cross and peacekeepers. This was reported by Artak Beglaryan, an advisor to the Prime Minister of Artsakh, on his Facebook page.

“For 6 days now, the 120,000 people of Artsakh have been completely isolated and besieged, without any supplies or movement, even from the Red Cross and peacekeepers. Attached photos show how, in recent days, Azerbaijani armored vehicles have blocked the only road between Artsakh and Armenia near their illegal checkpoint. Is this their guarantee of 'free movement' that they deceive the world with, claiming there is no blockade?

Artsakh is rapidly sliding into a security and humanitarian catastrophe, and every state must take its share of responsibility to prevent the impending tragedy rather than shifting the blame onto one another. We expect the most urgent and practical actions from Armenia, Russia, the USA, France, the European Union, the UN, and all other stakeholders, as well as for the global Armenian community to put significant pressure on everyone,” wrote Beglaryan.
