Results of Some Officials' Business Trips Not Reported: 'Jamanak'
According to the procedure established by the decision No. 1230-N of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia dated September 19, 2018, government members must submit a report three days after returning from business trips, and it should be published on the Republic of Armenia’s electronic governance system e-gov.am.
This was reported by the 'Jamanak' newspaper.
However, the newspaper clarified that not all reports are submitted or published. For example, the Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan was on a business trip to the Republic of Italy (Rome) from June 12-14 to attend an official reception dedicated to the 25th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Sovereign Order of Malta. This business trip's report has not yet been posted.
Similarly, a delegation led by Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan was in the People's Republic of China from June 5-9 to participate in the 11th meeting of the Armenian-Chinese Joint Commission, but there is also no report available on this trip on the website. There is also no information regarding the business trip of Liparit Drmeyan, head of the Office of the Representative of the Prime Minister for International Legal Issues, who traveled to the French Republic from June 4-8 inclusive.
This phenomenon may have two causes: either the officials are not submitting them on time, or the reports are not being posted on the website. This is happening under a government that constantly speaks about transparency.
