One of the Four Investigators in the Drug Case Released from Custody: "Hraparak"
„One of the four investigators of the Arabkir Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has been released from custody,” reports the newspaper “Hraparak.”
It is noted that earlier, the National Security Service (NSS) had revealed that they were involved in drug trafficking, leading to the detention of these four investigators.
“The released individual is Taron Sahakyan. There are also reports that the others have been freed as well, although this information has not been officially confirmed. Overall, the preliminary investigation of this high-profile case is being conducted in an atmosphere of extreme secrecy. Nevertheless, we have become aware of certain details. The investigators seized narcotics from various cases, which they sold. The supervising prosecutor, who is also among those involved in the case, has been informed about this,” the publication states.
According to our information, one of the accused investigators has a father who works for the NSS as a middle-level manager. There is a charge in the materials according to which one of the accused investigators even swapped out a weapon that had been submitted for examination with another weapon. The purpose was to conceal a murder,” the article adds.
