Akhtala-Shamlugh Road Becomes One-Way Traffic

The inter-community Akhtala-Shamlugh road in the Lori Province has become one-way traffic, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service.

Clearing operations on the road are ongoing. The road leading from Akhtala to the Church of St. Mary of God is passable, and cleaning works continue there as well.

It is recalled that due to a mudflow caused by heavy rain, the Akhtala-Shamlugh road in Lori Province had previously been closed.

As of June 22 at 11:00 PM, the police of the Lori Province have established a duty roster. Three pieces of equipment from the Akhtala mining enrichment plant are working on-site.

Travel along this route is advised only if absolutely necessary.
