Video: Unknown Man Attacks Grandmother in France Attempting to Kidnap Granddaughter

In Bordeaux, France, an unknown assailant attacked a pensioner while she was standing at her home’s threshold with her seven-year-old granddaughter. The attacker knocked them to the ground and attempted to abduct the child. This information was reported by Gazeta.ru, referencing Le Figaro.

The girl managed to break free from the stranger's grasp and escape. It has been reported that the perpetrator fled after the grandmother and her granddaughter were defended by their Labrador retriever.

Later, it was revealed that the attacker is a 29-year-old man who is under guardianship and has a mental disorder. It was noted that the suspect has previous convictions and has been arrested 19 times. Additionally, a new criminal case had recently been opened against him for attacking his own caregiver.

Following the incident, the suspect was taken into custody and transferred to the Charles Perrin Bordeaux psychiatric center. Law enforcement is currently continuing the investigation.

According to the publication, the footage of the attack was captured by a doorbell camera, after which the residents shared it on social media.
