VIDEO: "Resolve This Issue Within 3 Months" - Pashinyan Issues Directive
During a cabinet meeting, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed cashless transactions, emphasizing the importance of the Central Bank and the State Revenue Committee continuing to expand their efforts to enhance the cashless payment system.
“I have received reports that there are still cash payment issues in state institutions of the Republic of Armenia. This means that cash payments are being made. I ask our Deputy Prime Ministers and all ministers, partners to exclude any acceptance of cash payments. Moreover, at one time we considered terminal payments to be a conditional cashless payment, but payment via terminal is the same as cash payment. A cash payment is when a person physically interacts with cash notes. Therefore, I am giving a deadline; these issues must be resolved within 3 months,” Pashinyan stated.
