Video: If Able to Work, Why Should One Receive Benefits and Then Gamble, Says Pashinyan

If a person is losing 100,000 drams a month in an online casino, why should the government provide them with a benefit of 27,000 drams? This is illogical. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this today, June 22, during a government meeting.

“Our issue is that the beneficiaries of the state’s social policy should only be those who are unable to work. If a person is able, they can work—why should others work while they receive social benefits at their expense? Not to mention that they may also gamble,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
