Turkish Airlines Fires Pilot Who Liked Opposition Posts
Turkey's national airline, Turkish Airlines, has fired pilot Evren Kaftan due to his approval of posts supporting the opposition. Turkish media report this news.
It is noted that he liked and shared tweets supporting Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the leader of the main opposition Republican People's Party, and Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Istanbul mayor from the same party.
Following the elections, he was dismissed from his position. The pilot is now initiating legal proceedings.
“This means that no one can work at the company except members of the Justice and Development Party,” wrote opposition figure Ali Kıdır on social media, who is the owner of Airport Haber.
