Sounds Detected During Search for Submarine Headed to See Titanic
A Canadian aircraft equipped with a hydrophone has detected sounds during the search for a missing submarine near the site of the Titanic wreck. Search teams are attempting to locate the source of these sounds. This was reported on Twitter by the U.S. Coast Guard.
It is noted that the search for the underwater vehicle, which went missing in the Atlantic Ocean, has covered nearly 26,000 square meters. However, according to the press service, remotely operated underwater vehicles have thus far not recorded any positive results, and the search continues.
It is reminded that there are five people aboard the submersible, who have been out of contact for over a day. Communication was lost roughly 1 hour and 45 minutes after diving on Sunday. Estimates suggest that the Titan’s oxygen will run out by Thursday morning.
