The spokesperson for the Yerevan Metro, Tatev Khachatryan, has issued a clarification regarding reports circulating in the media about a train stopping for several minutes in the tunnel between "Barekamutyun" and "Baghramyan" stations.

The clarification states: "The publication describes that during the train's operation, a loud buzzing and incomprehensible other sounds were heard, after which the train stopped in the tunnel for several minutes." We inform you that Yerevan Metro operates 24/7. All activities within the metro are conducted according to special instructions and internal security regulations.

At the same time, we inform you that according to the normal operations of the metro, at 09:52 today, metro employees entered the Baghramyan – Barekamutyun station with a train to check the tunnels. As per instructions, the driver stops for 30 seconds, after which, following all safety norms and in the appropriate attire, metro employees disembark into the tunnel. As of 10:19, after completing the inspection, the employees exited the tunnel with another passenger train.

We would like to emphasize that everything is done to ensure the safe and uninterrupted transportation of passengers. We urge the media to obtain clarification via the always accessible phone number or email before presenting any information regarding the Metro's operations.
