Body of 42-Year-Old Woman Found in Ravine, Tied Up
On June 19, at 21:50, a citizen reported to the Kotayk Police Department that her sister, 42-year-old Nvard Nalchajyan, had gone missing since June 18 at 19:00, after leaving her home on Street 2 in the Summer Cottage District of Ptghini.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Abovyan investigative department. As a result of joint measures taken by the National Police Criminal Investigation Department, the regional departments of Kotayk and Armavir, and police divisions of Kotayk, Hrazdan, Nairi, and Vagharshapat, it was determined that Nvard Nalchajyan had been murdered by an 18-year-old resident of Parakar village in Armavir province.
On June 20, at 21:20, the suspect was located and arrested in one of the buildings on the Yerevan highway in the village of Mrdzavan, and he was transported to the Kotayk Police Department along with Nalchajyan's Mitsubishi vehicle, where he confessed to committing the crime.
The 18-year-old resident of Parakar village has submitted various documents to the Abovyan investigative department where he provided testimony indicating the location of the body. The body was found in a ravine next to an abandoned stone factory in Parakar village, with its hands, feet, and mouth taped up. The criminal proceedings are ongoing.
