VIDEO: After the Red Line, Azerbaijani Passports and Manats Will Be Distributed in Artsakh – Ruben Vardanyan
Former Artsakh Prime Minister Ruben Vardanyan, during one of his meetings, discussed the meaning of a red line. He posted a video on his Facebook page, stating:
“The ‘Artsakh Security and Development Front’ public movement says we are ready to negotiate with Azerbaijan provided that Azerbaijan acknowledges Artsakh as a party, rather than demanding the surrender of the President of Artsakh and the dissolution of all state institutions. Under such conditions, no negotiations can take place because it means you will be subjugated. For us, November 9 and May 9 are two different days with opposite significances. For us, May 9 is the day of the liberation of Shushi, the day of victory, while for them, it is November 9. Imagine how we would celebrate November 9 as part of Azerbaijan.”
“The red line is that you either submit or you fight. We understand that once the red line passes, the next step will be to distribute passports and implement the manat, bringing us into the composition of Azerbaijan. People ask what the fight is about. The struggle is quite simple: every day we must wake up in the morning and understand what we are doing in our affairs to be better prepared to exit this situation,” Vardanyan stated.
