Hope for the Reopening of Yerevan Circus
Hope exists for the reopening of the Yerevan Circus. This was reported by Hraparak.
The Yerevan Circus closed nearly 12 years ago. Construction work on the building began in 2011, following an agreement between the municipality and the Tashir Group of Companies. It is now being reported that the new building of the Yerevan Circus is nearing completion, and the installation of seats has commenced.
“The chairs are already being installed, and the building will be delivered for operation by the end of the year,” Sos Petrosyan, the artistic director of Yerevan Circus, told Hraparak.
The new building will feature approximately 2,300 seats, higher than the old circus, along with other innovations. However, the reasons behind the construction delays that have deprived Yerevan residents of a circus for 12 years remain vague, with officials merely stating that the construction is complex, making it difficult to complete.
