Video: Yerevan and Baku Lack Agreement on Key Issues, Says Deputy Foreign Minister
Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostenyan addressed the negotiations with Azerbaijan regarding a peace treaty today, outlining the disagreements with Azerbaijan. According to Kostenyan, the countries are unable to reach an agreement on fundamental issues that have been raised.
“There are also disagreements regarding the fixation of the map, particularly on which year's map should serve as the basis for further demarcation processes. There are disputes related to the guarantor's institution, and there is no agreement on the international mechanisms for dialogue between Baku and Stepanakert, with the viewpoints of both sides being quite far apart. Nevertheless, the work will continue,” he elaborated.
