They Avoid Facing the Prime Minister, as Their Previously Voiced False Accusations Will Disappear into Thin Air: Chakhoyan

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Taron Chakhoyan, addressed the joint statement released by the opposition factions of the National Assembly, "Hayastan" and "Pativ Unem," on his Facebook page. In their statement, they indicated they would not participate in the session of the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war, where Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is scheduled to give testimony.

According to Chakhoyan, this is nothing but a vivid embodiment of irresponsibility. "They accuse the Prime Minister of the defeat in the war, yet refuse to participate in the session of the investigative commission studying the circumstances of the war, where the Prime Minister must give public testimony. It can be presumed that the opposition lawmakers either have nothing to say to the Prime Minister or are avoiding facing him because their previously voiced false accusations will dissolve into thin air. Such behavior is not foreign to parliamentary opposition; there have been numerous cases where they fled the National Assembly hall during the Prime Minister's speeches. As always, they fled again," wrote the government member.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is set to speak at the NA investigative commission on the circumstances of the 44-day war tomorrow, June 20.
