The Head of Yeraskh Village Discusses the Situation
The Azerbaijani side has fired short bursts of gunfire towards the metallurgical plant, but the situation in the village is calm at the moment. This was reported to Tert.am by the head of the Yeraskh administration, Saro Aivazyan.
“Everything is completely normal; people are living their lives as usual, working in the orchards, there is a lively atmosphere, and there are no problems,” said the community leader.
According to him, construction work has not been taking place in the area of the metallurgical plant for several days. The head of the community declined to answer other questions about the factory, advising to contact the company’s management.
It is noteworthy that Azerbaijani units have been periodically firing at Armenian positions located in the Yeraskh area since June 13. The Azerbaijani side is also targeting the metallurgical plant being built in Yeraskh, resulting in injuries to two Indian citizens working in the area.
