Israel Refuses to Sell 200 ‘Merkava Tanks’ to European Country Despite U.S. Pressure
Israel has refused to sell over 200 ‘Merkava tanks’ intended for Ukraine and Poland to one European country despite U.S. pressure, according to the Israeli publication Axios.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant informed Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin that Israel will not provide lethal weapons to Ukraine, sources report.
Earlier, it was reported that Israel had allegedly agreed to sell Merkava Type 2 and 3 tanks to a European country under U.S. influence, after which the tanks were to be resold to Poland and Ukraine.
