Efforts of Azerbaijan's Delegation Fail in PACE: The Issue of the Lachin Corridor Included in the Agenda

The efforts of Azerbaijan's delegation to obstruct the inclusion of the Lachin Corridor issue in the agenda of the PACE summer session have failed. According to Armenpress, this was reported by Vladimir Vardanyan, a member of the Armenian delegation to PACE.

“By an overwhelming majority, PACE has included this issue in the agenda of the ongoing session,” the MP announced.

A discussion on this urgent topic will take place on June 22. Azerbaijan has illegally set up a checkpoint in the Lachin Corridor, at the Gavarr Bridge. The foreign ministries of Armenia and Artsakh have stated that this action by Azerbaijan violates the tripartite agreement of November 9, 2020.

Moreover, following the Azerbaijani provocation that occurred near the Gavarr Bridge on June 15, all humanitarian transportation and cargo transfers through the Lachin Corridor have been banned by Azerbaijan.
