Damage from Winds: Roofs, Vehicles, and Trees Affected in Yerevan and Regions

On June 18, from 10:40 AM to 5:20 PM, the National Crisis Management Center, as well as the crisis management centers of Kotayk, Lori, and Shirak regions received reports indicating that due to strong winds, roofs of buildings, vehicles, and trees were damaged across the Yerevan districts of Kentron, Norq Marash, Shengavit, Nor Norq, Malatia-Sebastia, as well as in the cities of Gyumri and Alaverdi and the village of Kaputan.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, firefighting and rescue teams from the Emergency Situations Department of Yerevan and regional rescue departments have been dispatched to the scene.

The rescuers have been engaged in cutting down broken trees, demarcating affected areas, and dismantling roofing materials. There are no casualties or injuries reported.
