Wall of House in Arapi Village Collapses Due to Heavy Rain

On June 18, at 16:22, the crisis management center of the Shirak regional rescue department received a call reporting that a wall of one of the houses on the 2nd alley of 1st Street in Arapi village had collapsed due to heavy rain and mudflows, damaging the drinking water pipe, which has led to flooding in the house.

A firefighting team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations rushed to the scene. It was determined that the first layer of the house's two-layer retaining wall had partially collapsed (approximately 4 square meters), and the drinking water pipe was damaged, resulting in flooding inside the house. Rescuers cordoned off the area and redirected the water flow using a rubber hose.

At 17:16 on June 18, the crisis management center of the Shirak regional rescue department received another call reporting that a ceiling in the living room of a house on Vahan Cherazi Street in Gyumri had collapsed due to heavy rain. Another firefighting team was dispatched to the site.

It was found that the ceiling's gypsum board had been partially damaged due to rainwater, with some portions having broken off and fallen. Rescuers secured the area.
