Most Common Languages Among Hackers Worldwide
In an interview with РИА Новости, Yevgeny Kaspersky, head of Kaspersky Lab, identified Chinese and Russian as the most commonly used languages among hackers globally.
“Many professional and amateur malware programs are in Chinese. Russian ranks second, and after that, it’s difficult to say—probably Spanish-Portuguese,” he noted.
Kaspersky clarified that he was referring to Latin America rather than Spain, based on available data from arrests and investigations.
He indicated that after these, Turkish and Broken English follow. Kaspersky pointed out that in the case of Broken English, it is more challenging to determine the linguistic affiliation of attackers since “anyone could be behind it.”
Earlier, CNN reported that several U.S. government agencies have been subject to a large-scale cyberattack.
