VIDEO: "We must hope that there will be a special unit of deserters among the list of suicide bombers," says Pashinyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has responded to the statement made by Armenia's "Hayastan" faction MP Aghvan Vardanyan, who claimed that 100 suicide bombers are needed, individuals willing to sacrifice their lives and go to the end.

During a Q&A session in the National Assembly, Pashinyan stated that the Prosecutor General’s Office should handle this issue. “As for the suicide bombers you mentioned, we must hope that among that list of suicide bombers, there will be a special unit of deserters from the 44-day war to solve that problem. I believe they have found the right method of 'adaptation',” he said.

Pashinyan emphasized that their political trajectory is the rule of law and the dictatorship of law. “That is our electoral thesis. Moreover, let me state the following: those who cross the line of law will find their place in this life through legally defined means,” he added.

According to Pashinyan, there will be a detailed discussion on the negotiations concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in the near future, including in the investigative committee. “If they were forming units of suicide bombers, they accepted the principles under which Nagorno-Karabakh was recognized as part of Azerbaijan. It’s one thing to recognize it externally, and it’s another thing that they have come internally and formed units of suicide bombers. Meanwhile, those mentioned as suicide bombers have been sitting in ministerial cabinets, occupied with completely different problem-solving,” he noted.
