VIDEO: Power Disruption in Some Areas of Sochi After Heavy Rain

Power supply has been locally disrupted in some areas of Sochi following heavy rainfall. This was reported by tass.ru. Public transport is operating on temporary routes.

“Local technological disruptions in energy supply have been recorded in the Matsesta microdistrict, Krasnaya Volya, Illarionovka, and Kalinovoye Ozero villages. There are disruptions in the schedules of urban and suburban public transport routes. Currently, buses are temporarily operating along the route without stopping in Staraya Matsesta,” the report stated.

It has been clarified that traffic on federal highways within Sochi is proceeding normally. After the water recedes, employees of “Sochigorgaz” will conduct a comprehensive examination of gas supply networks that have also been affected.

Later reports indicated that three water conduits were damaged in Sochi's Matsesta microdistrict, disrupting the water supply in the area, and the sewage pumping station was completely filled with water, according to the Sochi water supply Telegram channel.
