14-Year-Old Girl Dies After Drinking Strong Beer in Russia
A 14-year-old schoolgirl has died after drinking strong beer during a visit to a friend in the Sverdlovsk region's Orzhonikidze district in Yekaterinburg, Russia. This was reported by gazeta.ru.
It was revealed that the girl was at a rented apartment with her companion and attempted alcohol consumption there. "The girl complained of feeling unwell and went to lie down in the next room. Later that night, her friend discovered she was having difficulty breathing and called for an ambulance. The doctors who arrived at the scene pronounced her dead," the report added.
During the investigation, it was found that the cause of the student’s death could be related to Anafranil tablets (an antidepressant medication). This medication is known to have adverse interactions with alcohol. There were no signs of violent death on the teenager’s body. The schoolgirl was not registered with the PDN. The exact cause of death is expected to be determined after an autopsy.
