The Shark That Devoured a Russian in Egypt to Become a Museum Exhibit
The shark that killed and consumed a Russian citizen in Egypt will become a museum exhibit. This was reported by Gazeta.ru, citing Al Arabiya.
Currently, experts from the Marine Sciences Institute and Red Sea reserves are preparing the fish's body for display in a museum.
It is worth noting that on June 8, it became known that 23-year-old Russian citizen Vladimir Popov died from a shark attack in Hurghada, Egypt, in front of his father.
The Russian consulate confirmed the death of the Russian national.
After the emergency situation, the beaches in the Egyptian resort were closed, but on June 11, Egyptian authorities reopened them, except for the area where the Russian man lost his life.
Local authorities reported that this is the only recorded shark attack on a tourist in Egypt in 2023.
