The Number of Victims from the Kakhovka HPP Collapse Flood Reaches 17

The number of victims from the flood caused by the collapse of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station has reached 17, reported Andrey Alekseenko, the head of the Kherson regional government, on Telegram.

The Kakhovka HPP was destroyed on June 6, resulting in flooding on both sides of the Dnieper River (the left bank is controlled by Russian forces, while the right bank is under Ukrainian military control). More than 7,000 people have been evacuated from the left bank of the Kherson region. Moscow and Kyiv are blaming each other for the incident.

It is worth noting that the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station located in the Kherson region collapsed on June 6. Ukraine and Russia accuse each other of shelling the HPP.
