Photos: Major Accident Involving 'Mercedes-Benz Sprinter' and 'ZIL' Results in Casualties
On June 13, at 06:31, the National Center for Crisis Management received an alert regarding a traffic accident on the Ashatarak highway near the Norashen neighborhood in Yerevan. There were reported casualties and assistance from rescuers was required.
A team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Emergency Situations' Yerevan Fire and Rescue Division was dispatched to the scene, along with operational groups from the National Center for Crisis Management, special rescue operations center of the Rescue Service, and a psychologist on duty from the Psychological Support Department.
It was revealed that a 'Mercedes-Benz Sprinter' had veered off the roadway and collided with a parked 'ZIL' cargo truck (driver: R. I). There was a leakage of fuel and lubricants from the 'Mercedes-Benz Sprinter'. Rescuers extricated three trapped individuals from the vehicle, assisted the injured by bringing them closer to the ambulance, secured the area, and disconnected the power supply from the 'Mercedes-Benz Sprinter'.
