What explains the phenomenon of inviting individuals who completed military service 3-4 years ago to training assemblies? Abrahamyan
I have repeatedly spoken about the necessity of maintaining important principles of training assemblies, but their key objectives have been pushed to the background. This was mentioned by Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the ‘Honorable to Have’ faction in the National Assembly, on his Facebook page.
“What explains the phenomenon of inviting individuals who completed mandatory military service 3-4 years ago and participated in the 44-day war to assemblies? Setting aside their participation in the war, if they served 3 years ago, then they are still in a ‘normal training condition,’ and it is inappropriate to involve them in training assemblies. If the main issue is the combat readiness of the reserve, then the assemblies should first involve those who served 7-8 years ago or more, as there is clearly work to be done with them.”
“Exceptions may be for assemblies related to advancing ranks or specialization in new types of weaponry. However, when the Ministry of Defense gives a notice for a training assembly to a participant of the war upon their graduation from university, right before receiving a diploma, it indicates that the government’s concern is not about specific legally established priorities but about numbers and fulfilling plans,” he wrote.
