Video: "You will take them, and plant the same trees in the same place" - Tigran Avinyan to Armen Begoyan

In the operational meeting of the Yerevan City Hall, the results of the internal investigation regarding the tree cutting incident at the intersection of Sayat Nova and Nalbandyan streets were presented.

The head of the Human Resources Management Department, Meri Margaryan, reported that disciplinary measures had been applied to the employees of the responsible units involved in the rapid response team for greening. According to her, the employees in the group did not show vigilance upon receiving alerts.

“Mr. Begoyan, you will take them, and plant the same trees in the same place,” Tigran Avinyan instructed.

The head of the Greening and Environmental Protection Community Non-Profit Organization, Armen Begoyan, stated that their organization is not at fault in this matter.

The secretary of the City Hall staff, Shavarsh Grigoryan, elaborated, “The greening team mentioned by Ms. Margaryan does not include Mr. Begoyan’s organization. We are talking about a rapid response team.”

Meri Margaryan also clarified that a warning had been issued to the deputy head of the Environmental Protection Department, Gorik Avetisyan, and to Meri Marukyan, the leading specialist of the secretary's call service and support department.
