Video: Dnieper River Dries Up Following Explosion at Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant

The Dnieper River has dried up following a disaster at the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant in Zaporizhzhia. This was reported by the Readovka Telegram channel.

A local resident demonstrated how the once wide and flowing Dnieper looks after the explosion at the Kakhovka hydroelectric facility.

According to unofficial reports, following the dam's breach, the Dnieper has become shallower, with water receding about 30-40 meters from the shore. At the same time, Kyiv has ordered the start of emergency water discharges from the Dnieper HPP. According to Yevgeny Hnatenco, head of Ukraine's navigation administration, the country is now at risk of a new environmental disaster.
