VIDEO: Eyewitnesses Describe How a Shark Ripped Apart a Russian Man

In Hurghada, Egypt, a shark has torn apart 23-year-old Russian Vladimir Popov. The incident occurred during the day, witnessed by frightened tourists swimming nearby. Eyewitnesses have recounted the tragedy of the Russian man's death at the hands of the shark. This has been reported by Kommersant.

In the area where the incident took place, swimming was permitted, but suddenly a shark appeared and immediately bit the young man. Rescuers saw this and began deploying a boat. The young man attempted to swim away from the predator but was unable to do so.

Witnesses reported that the animal dragged the young man's body for two hours. “It was all before my eyes, thank goodness I didn’t go swimming. The shark ate the boy right in front of me. The girl managed to escape; she took the entire hit on herself. Horrific thing. Only the boy's remains are left,” recounted a tourist who witnessed the tragedy in Hurghada during an interview with Moskovskie Novosti.

It is recalled that following the incident, local authorities ordered the closure of all beaches in Hurghada.
