We Are Eagerly Awaiting Another Round of Talks in Washington: Patel
We continue to believe that direct dialogue is key to achieving sustainable and dignified peace. This was stated by Vedant Patel, the Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. State Department, during a press briefing yesterday.
In response to a question about whether the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia could achieve any significant success at their upcoming meeting in Washington next week, Patel reiterated a previous statement: "We are eagerly awaiting the hosting of another round of negotiations in Washington, as the parties continue to strive for a peaceful future in the South Caucasus region."
He also mentioned that he could not provide any timeline or dates for the meeting: "I’m not going to confirm or share any internal information regarding the timeline or possible dates."
