Video: Shark That Attacked Russian Citizen Caught in Egypt

A shark that attacked a Russian citizen has been caught in the coastal city of Hurghada, Egypt. Footage of the incident has been shared on social media.

According to eyewitnesses of the death of the Russian tourist, the shark initially bit 23-year-old Vladimir Popov on the leg, and later pulled the young man underwater.

It has been noted that the predator was able to swim closer to people due to the absence of protective nets in the water.

This information has been confirmed by RIA Novosti as well. “The shark that attacked a Russian citizen in Egyptian Hurghada has been caught,” said a source from the agency in Hurghada.

Previously, it had been reported that a young Russian man died in Hurghada as a result of the shark attack in front of his father.

The Russian consulate has confirmed his death.
