Video: Gas was blown in my eyes, hit me with a baton: Beaten youth talks about the ruling party official
A 24-year-old youth, who was subjected to violence by Suren Torosyan, the head of the water supply management in Aragatsavan village of the enlarged community of Talin, shared details about the incident with NEWS.am.
"I was standing there when he arrived by car, stopped next to me, and said, 'Get in the car.' I replied, 'I won't get in; who are you to make me get in your car?' I told him, 'If you want to talk to me, let's do it at my workplace.' The issue started six months ago when he remained upset that I had hit him. I kicked him once and punched him once in the chest. The problem was related to water supply, as we had been cut off from the main supply. After I hit him six months ago, he became resentful.
He stopped his car, got out, and then sprayed gas in my eyes. Everything went black in front of my eyes, and he struck me on the head with a baton. He only hit me once because the baton broke. When he wanted to get back in his car, I hit his car and it dented. He went back a little bit but then came again, picked up a stone, and tried to hit me but couldn’t. Our friends were coming from the other side and told him to drop the stone. He threw it down, and when I approached him, he was fleeing. I gave him some strong punches, and I will respond to his actions," he explained.
The young man noted that he had to get stitches on his head. For more details, watch the video.
