ICRC Visits Two Armenian Soldiers Held in Azerbaijan

On June 7, representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) visited two Armenian soldiers who were abducted by Azerbaijanis in Armenian territory and are currently held in Azerbaijan. This was reported to Auroranews by Zara Amatuni, head of ICRC communication and prevention programs in Armenia.

“Private discussions took place with them, and contact with their families was established through letters,” she stated.

It is noteworthy that on May 26, the Armenian Ministry of Defense officially announced that contact had been lost with two servicemen supplying food to combat positions since 19:00.

Additionally, following the abduction of the two Armenian soldiers supplying food to combat posts, Armenia has appealed to the Strasbourg court requesting interim measures to be applied.
