Driver Places 20,000 Dram Bill on Patrol Car Seat and is Arrested for Bribery
On June 7, at 23:15, officers from the first platoon of the first battalion of the Patrol Service of the Police of the Republic of Armenia stopped a car brand 'Opel' on Tamantsiner Street for smoking-related violations.
During the preparation of an administrative report, it was revealed that the driver, a resident of Haikashen village in the Armavir region, was driving under the influence. While the report was being compiled, the 45-year-old driver opened the door of the patrol car and placed a 20,000 dram banknote on the seat. Following this, the patrol officers arrested him on charges of bribery and brought him to the Shengavit Police Department.
The documents created have been sent to the Anti-Corruption Committee, and a criminal case has been initiated.
