“If you choose humiliation between war and humiliation, you will get both humiliation and war.” Vardanyan
Ruben Vardanyan, the initiator of the 'Future Armenia' movement and co-founder of the 'Aurora' humanitarian initiative, writes on his Facebook page: “I do not see any possibility for the Republic of Artsakh to be part of Azerbaijan in any format. And this is not just my stance; it reflects the overwhelming majority of the people living in Artsakh, not only those in Artsakh.
It is evident that any document signed on paper has no power unless there are effective mechanisms to ensure its compliance ‘on the ground’, clear systems, and mechanisms to punish violations of specific agreements, if the people and leaders do not show will, if everything is ‘blurred’. The illusion of achieving a humiliating peace through diplomatic means is simply a result of ignorance of history. Do you remember Churchill’s words: ‘If you choose humiliation between war and humiliation, you will get both humiliation and war’?”
