The UN Secretary-General António Guterres has reported that at least 16,000 people have lost their homes due to the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant dam. This was reported by RT.
Guterres stated, "At least 16,000 people have already lost their homes. Considering the danger of interruptions to the supply of clean drinking water, this number could increase by several thousand."
Earlier, Russia's permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, announced that Russia would convene a meeting of the UN Security Council regarding the emergency situation at the Kakhovka HPP.
On the morning of June 6, the head of Nova Kakhovka, Vladimir Leontyev, reported on the damage to the upper part of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant.
