Young Man Who Tortured Dog Punished: 'Hraparak'

“For the past two days, a horrifying video has been circulating online showing a young man in black torturing a stray dog, injuring its snout and ear, while the poor creature is howling in pain. The incident took place in the yard of School No. 1 in Abovyan city. It is known that the young man’s name is Artak, and he was selling vegetables in the yard of that school,” reports 'Hraparak'.

The newspaper points out that the most shocking aspect of the video is that the animal is being tortured in front of numerous indifferent bystanders.

“While the animal-loving community is reposting the video, tagging the Armenian police, we have found out that the residents have expelled the young man named Artak from that yard and warned neighboring yards not to allow him to move into their area. It is also known that the young man was intoxicated at the time of the dog torture. He apologized to the ‘building residents’ and claimed he did not want to harm the animal, he simply ‘loved it too roughly’,” the publication mentions.
